As early as the Spring and Autumn Period (770 BC-476 BC), Qianshan county was a fief of the Wan Kingdom, after which Anhui is now called “Wan” for short. It’s the birthplace of celebrities like Cheng Changgeng, leader of Hui Opera troupes and the founder of Peking Opera, and the great novelist Zhang Henshui.

The project has been approved and the land acquisition and removal work is under way.
